Kwara: Pure water factories embark on strike
The strike is believed to have come up
after the meeting held on Wednesday by all members of the association in the
state. The people in the state where however in panic as rumor ravaging the
state that price of pure water may rise from its current price; ten naira (#10)
to fifteen or twenty naira (#15 or #20).
All attempts make to contact the leader and
other excos of the association were to no avail. But a member of the
association who spoke on anonymity said the strike is necessary as the cost of
production is very high compare to the sales price, and the tax they are
require to be paying by Kwara state internal revenue services (KWIRS) is a
great treat to the business. He however denied the rumor that the price of
selling a pure water as a unit will increase to #15 nor #20, but the price of a
bag may increase with #20 or #40.
