Kwara: Pure water factories embark on strike



Image result for pure water nigeriaThe pure water producers in Ilorin Kwara state capital has on Friday 17 of February embarked on indefinite strike. The proprietors in all nook and cranny of the state has shut down their factories, ware house and packed their distributing vehicles in their compound.

The strike is believed to have come up after the meeting held on Wednesday by all members of the association in the state. The people in the state where however in panic as rumor ravaging the state that price of pure water may rise from its current price; ten naira (#10) to fifteen or twenty naira (#15 or #20).
All attempts make to contact the leader and other excos of the association were to no avail. But a member of the association who spoke on anonymity said the strike is necessary as the cost of production is very high compare to the sales price, and the tax they are require to be paying by Kwara state internal revenue services (KWIRS) is a great treat to the business. He however denied the rumor that the price of selling a pure water as a unit will increase to #15 nor #20, but the price of a bag may increase with #20 or #40.
