Dangote keen to buy Arsenal

Aliko Dangote has reiterated his desire to buy a controlling stake in Arsenal, but only in three to four years when conditions are right for a purchase.

The most popular Nigerian businessman, who owns the Dangote Group and is worth an estimated £8.3billion, is a keen Gunners fan and first stated his intention to
snap up the Premier League club last year, however it seems it will be some time before he makes an official bid.

The issue is that we have more challenging headwinds. I need to get those out the way first and start having tailwinds. Then I’ll focus on this.” . Dangote, reportedly worth around £8.3billion, announced his intention to buy Arsenal last year. . But his business prospects needs to improve and investments in gas pipelines/oil refinery have to to pay off before making the expensive acquisition. . “It’s not about buying Arsenal and just continuing with business as usual,” he said. . “It’s about buying Arsenal and turning it around. I’ve run a very successful business and I think I can also run a very successful team.
