Nigeria can earn N5trn_ Adebayo

credits: http://The Punch The General Manager, Shonga Farm Holdings Limited, Mr. Adebayo Sangobiyi, has said that Nigeria can achieve national food security and earn about N5tn foreign exchange from agricultural exports as well as create massive employment with the adoption of commercial agriculture.  He said it was imperative to have a well-articulated and strategic agricultural master plan that should be strictly implemented to boost the nation’s agricultural transformation. He said this during an interview with The Puch correspondent in Ilorin, Kwara state capital. Sangobiyi said, “If we face agriculture squarely, there will be industrialisation; with that, the economy will be transformed. Even at the national level, the Gross Domestic Product will improve and we will do less of importation.”

ISIS killed 19 women

The dreaded terrorist group – the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria or ISIS – has reportedly put to death 19 young women who refused to have sex with its fighters. The 19 women were abducted and held hostage by the ISIS in its stronghold of Mosul, Iraq, which the terrorist group had seized since June 2014. As reported by Daily mail on friday on its website quoted a Kurdish Democratic Party spokesperson as saying that the girls were executed for refusing to “participate in the practice of sexual jihad”.

Abuja (AFP) - Nigeria's new President Muhammadu Buhari will this week make his first foreign trip since taking office, travelling to Chad and Niger for talks on Boko Haram, his spokesman said on Monday. Shehu Garba said the two-day trip starting on Wednesday will focus on "matters of security", with the cooperation of Nigeria's neighbours seen as crucial to ending the Islamist uprising which has claimed more than 15,000 lives since 2009.
